Andrew Noviello, 19 year old catcher, from Bridgewater-Raynham High School was drafted in the 25th round by our home town team, the Boston Red Sox. He has been the most dedicated athlete, training day in and day out, since November 2015, at Elite Sports Performance & Physical Therapy in Foxboro with Master Trainer, Peter Rappoli, MS, CCS, CSCS. Andrew was named Boston Globe All State Baseball Player of the Year & MVP of the Old Colony League. He went on to help his team win the state championship his sophomore year at BR, with a batting average of .490, 7 HR’s, and 35 RBI’s in just 23 games! (That is double the average Boston Red Sox catcher, Jason Varitek, earned throughout his entire career!)
Andrew continues to show up as if he has something to prove — his eagerness to learn, positive spirit and encouragement towards all of Elite’s younger athletes shows us he encompasses all the assets of a true athlete. His increase in both strength and power, specifically bat speed and arm strength, are his most impressive gains throughout his off season.
His excitement towards not only his lean muscle gains, but his career with the Boston Red Sox has made the entire Elite team eager for the baseball season to begin! We’re excited to cheer him on and to see what the future holds for our newest Athlete of the Month! Congrats Andrew!
