Dylan Vaglica – March 2015

Dylan Vaglica

Dylan, 14, has been training at Elite Sports Performance & Physical Therapy for over a year and has seen some excellent results from his consistency and hard work. He’s participated in Elite’s Baseball Conditioning program with RBI Baseball Academy, Elite’s Acceleration D2 speed & agility classes, and most recently, one-on-one personal training with Cory McCue, CSCS. Through his dedication to his training with both Cory and Chris Sullivan at RBI Baseball Academy, Dylan has made significant gains in speed, strength, rotational power, agility & quickness.

Dylan’s main focus is baseball, but he also enjoys playing football, golf and holds a first degree black belt in karate! In May 2013, Dylan threw a perfect game in the ESPN Tournament in Florida and his team won the Baseball Heaven Tournament in May. He was the starting pitcher in the championship game and led the team to victory! Dylan’s team was also the Taunton West Little League Champions in 2012 and he was All Scholastic for Taunton Pop Warner. Aside from Dylan’s impressive baseball achievements, he was the Super Bowl Champion (like his favorite athlete Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots) in 2011 & captain of his football team the past four years.

In addition to being an outstanding athlete, Dylan is also an honors student at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Mansfield and was recently accepted to Xaverian Brothers High School.

Dylan offers a few words of advice to all the younger athletes out there: “Pay attention to what you’re doing when your coach isn’t watching. Are you still working hard? Are you staying 100% committed?”

We’re excited to honor Dylan as our Athlete of the Month and know that his continued dedication and commitment to both his athletics and his academics will lead to great things in the years ahead. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for our newest Athlete of the Month!
