Carolyn Schiavo – April 2025 Athlete of the Month
Carolyn Schiavo, 16, hails from Canton and has been training at Elite Sports Performance & Physical Therapy in Foxboro for almost 2 years. She is currently a junior captain of the field hockey team at Canton High School. Following graduation from Canton HS, she will be continuing on to study business and playing field hockey at Bucknell University.
Carolyn first came to Elite with the goal of becoming stronger and faster to improve her play on the field and achieve her ultimate goal of becoming a collegiate athlete. Over the past two years, Carolyn has put in the hard work and become one of our most consistent and respected athletes, and her results show it! During her high school career, she has racked up quite the list of impressive accolades. As a junior, she is a 3x Hockomock League All Star, 3x Patriot Ledger All Scholastic, 2023 Hockomock Underclassman of the Year, 2024 Hockomock Davenport MVP, Hockomock 1st Team, 2024 Nexus U18 Championship Team, and was selected to play in the 2024 Under Armor Select Game! With her senior season coming up this fall, there is no doubt Carolyn will be adding to this list of amazing accomplishments!
Carolyn’s success in high school is largely due to her strong work ethic and consistent approach to her training. When asked what advice she would give to younger athletes, Carolyn says, “never be intimidated by failure. It’s something that helps motivate you and shows you where to improve.” When asked what advice she would share with younger athletes, she shares some advice that was given to her: “Success is not a straight line and there will always be bumps in the road; all that matters is that you keep going.”
Carolyn tells us she enjoys training at Elite because she loves the coaching staff and the positive community. She mentioned that she enjoys being surrounded by like-minded athletes who are dedicated to getting better in their sport.
On the field hockey field, Carolyn has seen the results of her hard work in the gym and is determined to be the best athlete she can be. She is an outstanding role model for our younger athletes, many of whom admire her work ethic and achievements and want to follow in her footsteps! We are grateful to be part of her journey and are so excited to see her tear up the field hockey field for the Bulldogs before heading off to Bucknell! We are excited to honor Carolyn Schiavo as our Elite Athlete of the Month for April, 2025. Congratulations Carolyn, and keep making us proud!
