Jack Daly backpack

Jack Daly, 13, of Medway, has been training at Elite Sports Performance &Physical Therapy in Foxboro for the past year. Jack came to Elite as an avid baseball player with one goal in mind: gain more weight and build more muscle. After a year of training at Elite, Jack has done just that and is more confident at the plate and on the diamond than ever before. Jack plays baseball for the GBG Hawks and Xaverian Brothers Middle School and has noticed a big difference at the plate with more power in his swing and improved speed around the bases.

Of his many accomplishments in his young career, Jack is most proud of making the GBG Hawks team, winning a Little League Championship, earning the “Coach’s Player of the Year” award, and now earning Athlete of the Month at Elite!

Jack continues to train at Elite to continue to improve his performance on the diamond. He understands the importance of the personalized, baseball-specific strength and conditioning program provided by the Elite team that has enhanced his performance as an athlete and allowed him to perform at a higher level. He has been training consistently 2x/week under the supervision of Coach Katie McCarthy, BS, CSCS, even while he was in-season. Jack’s favorite exercise is the trap bar deadlift and he has made some significant strength gains with this key exercise.  He believes that although his training at Elite has prepared him to compete at a high level, there is always room to improve and is excited to continue to make more progress in the gym and on the diamond. Check out Jack’s test scores below to see how his training has improved his speed, quickness, and power!

Jack Daly Stats

When asked what defines a true athlete, Jack tells us, “A true athlete is someone who needs to work hard, be a leader, be strong, and be agile.” When asked what advice he might give to younger athletes, he suggests they should “work hard and be a leader. Whether that is on the field, in the weight room, or in the classroom.”

Jack has been training at Elite consistently for over a year, which is a big reason why he’s continued to make gains and see positive results. He tells us that one of the main reasons he’s remained so consistent is because he’s seen steady improvements in his strength, speed and power. He also enjoys the supportive community atmosphere at Elite and has found a few role models on the Elite staff. Jack looks up to Elite’s summer intern, John Connolly, who is a pitcher for the Endicott College Gulls baseball team. Even though John never earned the prestigious AOM honor, Jack hopes to follow in John’s footsteps one day and play baseball at the college level. Jack also mentioned Elite athletes, Jenna Tivnan and Lauren “LB” Bonavita, two professional soccer players who train at Elite and showed Jack the true meaning of working hard this past summer. Jack has now taken on the role of showing younger athletes what it means to work hard in the weight room to get the results you want.

Jack said he would highly recommend Elite to his friends and teammates because “Elite has made me stronger, faster, work harder, and it has taught me leadership. I would love for my friends to feel the same way about Elite.” We’re excited to announce Jack Daly as our Elite Athlete of the Month for October, 2023! Keep getting after it and making us proud!
